Beautiful setting, very well equipped facilities and excellent service
we found the service excellent and the food was fantastic and the spa was very nice
a great location, quiet and peaceful, the historical significance of the building, the attention to detail, the pool and spa was one of the best i have ever used anywhere, the quality of the food and beverage, the grounds available for a stroll. Really is a very nice hotel, with good management who have set the tone and atmosphere just right.
reception staff on the evening i arrived where a little brash. not with myself, but a chap was checking out and they could not even manage a single please or thank you. "enter your pin number" "here is your invoice" The spa reception staff were not exactly welcoming either. A smile goes a long way on front of house. it was noticable as all other staff were excellent and the girls on reception when i checked out were a complete contrast. cheerful, hospitable and very polite.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The main house and grounds are beautiful and the service was good. The spa and leisure facilities are also excellent.
I have stayed in this hotel before but always in the main house. This time we stayed in a room in the Mews. The bed was very uncomfortable and the decor was tired and in need of redecoration (peeling wall paper, furniture with chipped paint, the bedding still had the Matalan labels on it!) I would recomend this hotel again because I know the rooms in the main house are excellent. However the room in the Mews was disappointing and I certainly didn't feel it was value for money (although it was clean).
Excellent service from staff, excellent Spa facilites
high standard in a quiet place
Good swimming pool very pleasant as it was a hot weekend we were there for a golden wedding anniversary and staff changed meal at short notice re my wife's allergy to mushrooms
Excellent location, very nice buildings, good facilities, but very poor service. One gets the impression that it is a hotel in decline. What a pity.
The service. Very un-experienced, slow, un-attentive.
We loved the location, it was stunning and attractive. The surroundings are all of natural beauty, history and leisure. We would definitely go again as we couldn't do all the activities but thoroughly enjoyed the Opera evening in the Pavillion and the beautiful mews cottage that we had all to ourselves.
This was our 25th anniversary treat. We rang the hotel to ask about the cottages and mentioned that it was our anniversary, which she said she had made a note of. It would have been a very personal touch if there was some acknowledgement in the room congratualting us or welcoming us on this special occasion. It would have made us feel very special. I was very disappointed as I had a long chat with the receptionist who said she would note it down. This was missing and we felt like regular guests.
Up to most expectations from previous visits
3Rd visit but first time not in the main hotel. For a couple, the ex- stable/annex conversion is poor value because room is too small and, though aware of layout, we were not told on arrival that we were to share the small sitting room below with a stranger. NO OTHER PROBLEMS
The open fire in the lobby and the beautiful buildings and grounds. The cooked breakfast The amazing swimming pool.
good food friendly staff beautiful public rooms I thought the prices for siuch a luxurious place very reasonable-
bit of a long way to the cottages
Everything, the manor is faultless, just love it
we attended the Eastwell manor to attend a wedding of a friends daughter and everything was better than anticipated. The organisation of the hotel and its members of staff was of the very best.
The toilet seat inour room 591 had seen "better days"
It was a beautiful location for the wedding my wife and I attended. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The food was excellent. The cottage accommodation we stayed in was a very high standard and very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful.
